2. Flexible Heat Treatment Property
The material can be quenched and tempered to achieve a good balance of mechanical strength and core toughness. Local induction hardening on inner bore of sleeves raises surface hardness and wear resistance greatly, which fits the friction and load working condition of shaft sleeves perfectly.
3. Cost Advantage & Stable Raw Material Supply
CK45 contains no expensive alloying elements compared with alloy steel like 42CrMo. Round bar raw material is widely available globally with stable price, making it the most cost-efficient option for standard industrial machined sleeves.
4. Good Forming Performance
It owns decent hot forging performance. Rough blanks can be forged into near-net shape sleeves to save machining allowance, further cutting subsequent CNC processing workload.
