Why do aluminum parts need anodizing?

2026-09-02 - Leave me a message

Firstly, it is decorative. After the aluminum material undergoes anodic oxidation treatment, a protective film forms on the surface, and this protective film has a very high transparency. Secondly, it is non-conductive. We know that aluminum profiles themselves are conductive, and many electrified frames cannot be used. However, after the aluminum profiles undergo anodic oxidation treatment, they are no longer conductive. The oxide film obtained after anodic oxidation of aluminum and aluminum alloys has a relatively high resistance, so it has a certain effect on improving the electrical insulation of certain products. Then, it is corrosion-resistant. Since the film layer obtained from anodic oxidation itself has sufficient stability in the atmosphere, the oxide film on the surface of aluminum can be used as a protective layer. It is particularly pointed out that chromic acid anodic oxidation method is especially suitable for anodic oxidation treatment of riveted and welded parts.
