Aluminum must have sharp edges after cutting, milling, operators to cut, cut pieces. The first mission of chamfering is to eliminate these safety hazards.
Chamfering plays three roles: first, guiding, helping the shaft hole to quickly align; secondly, it reduces friction, lowering the assembly resistance; thirdly, it protects the sealing components, preventing the O-ring from being scratched by sharp edges and causing leakage.
Rectangular crack initiation is the natural weak spot, stress from its extremely easily in cracking. Chamfers can disperse the stress and significantly enhance the fatigue strength.
Special note: During hard anodizing, the current is most concentrated at the corners, which can easily cause local overheating and burn the parts. All edges and angles must be chamfered, and the arc radius is not less than 0.5mm, which is the process red line.
